I was able to put up much of this blog in little time with the information that I had at hand. Of course, there is still some work that I'd like to do on it, but the most important missing piece here is the new paper I am writing on the 2010 Robin Hood film.
I have, of course been able to see the film in the theater (had hoped to see it more then once), and have studied its literature online, but I admit that I have been prevaricating a bit hoping it would soon be out on video (better, still, on downloadable Netflix). Alas, Netflix is still listing its availability as "unknown." I watched the other films countless times while working on the previous papers, but if pushed, I may run with the notes and memory of the film - plot points and my comparison to current events.
Yeah, yeah -- we all know the story. But, as you must also know - the devil is in the details. It is these little changes that morph the story from one to an entirely different perspective. Is it a tale of robing from the rich or an anti-government fable?
Well, more on that later.

About Me
Once upon a time, I was an undergraduate student in the city of Robin Hood - at Nottingham Trent University in England. As an international student student of history.
It was 1993 A.D. - two years after Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves put Robin Hood back on the cultural map. Nottingham was naturally using this bit of free advertising to best advantage.

Seventeen years, two degrees, and thousands of miles away, I find myself still enraptured with Robin. Again, he has marched into my psyche and so, I write again.
