Once upon a time, I was an undergraduate student in the city of Robin Hood - at Nottingham Trent University in England. As an international student student of history.
It was 1993 A.D. - two years after Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves put Robin Hood back on the cultural map. Nottingham was naturally using this bit of free advertising to best advantage.

Seventeen years, two degrees, and thousands of miles away, I find myself still enraptured with Robin. Again, he has marched into my psyche and so, I write again.
