Oh, how I remember sitting in the theater when the preview began.
It was early 2010, and I wish I could say that I was so on-top of things that I knew that it was coming, but I had been quite out of the loop of things for some time.
As soon as I realized it was a Robin Hood film trailer I was watching, my heart leaped. I thought - YES!!!
So many films that have been coming out have been flash-back films from the 80s. I was pleased to see that the retro-movement had swung far enough to hit into . . . . well, now let's see, a 1991 film that was based on a story that had been done in film multple times going back to the silent film era!
Yes! The ultimate retro film!!!!
And did I know about it! I had only recently come across a box of my old papers. The idea just screamed at me.
Robin Hood must be written about again.

About Me
Once upon a time, I was an undergraduate student in the city of Robin Hood - at Nottingham Trent University in England. As an international student student of history.
It was 1993 A.D. - two years after Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves put Robin Hood back on the cultural map. Nottingham was naturally using this bit of free advertising to best advantage.

Seventeen years, two degrees, and thousands of miles away, I find myself still enraptured with Robin. Again, he has marched into my psyche and so, I write again.
